People often ask why the name "Little Box of Random". Artists are often told to focus on one thing and master it. I have random skills that I've developed through having a variety of interests. I would often tell people I was going to do something and would say, "You know another one of those random things I do". So as a person I'm literally a Little Box of Random interests and skills that make me a well-rounded artist. Any type of artistic expression makes my heart happy.

I’m a mom, education advocate, nonprofit leader, and artist. I grew up in a tiny town in Southern Arizona near the border of Mexico. After moving here almost 20 years ago, I’m happy to call Southwest Baltimore home. I’m a painter, photographer, and multi-media designer and I create under the name Little Box of Random.
Much of my recent painting work delves into my Afro-Indigenous identity and heritage, reclaiming ancestral foods, languages, rituals, and stories. Additionally, my art often addresses themes of physical pain and mental health.
